All that glitters IS gold in the Arts Award at King’s
The arts are a fundamental part of the academic and co-curricular life of The King’s School, and each year many of our keenest pupils extend their experience and develop their understanding by undertaking individual projects for the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Arts Award.
In June, after a year of hard work and dedication, 27 pupils from the Lower Fourth (Year 7) to the Lower Sixth (Year 12) were entered for their Arts Award Moderation at Bronze, Silver, or Gold levels. Every single one of our pupils successfully completed their projects and passed the moderation, receiving their certificates this week in assemblies.
Middle Years
Each of the pupils showed real enthusiasm, tremendous creativity, and extraordinary commitment to the arts throughout the entire process. We had some truly unique events and creations from this cohort, including a ‘Floating Gallery’ as part of a leadership project and a handmade dress, made from old school shirts, as part of an arts development unit.

Many of these pupils have already signed up for this year’s Arts Award cohort, and we very much look forward to seeing how they continue to develop their skills and expertise over the next year.
