Carol Service fills the Cathedral
On Wednesday evening, members of the King’s Worcester community joined together in the Cathedral for a wonderfully festive Carol Service.
As usual, our exceptionally talented Senior musicians put on a spectacular performance, with the music expertly led by Director of Music, Simon Taranczuk, and the service by our School Chaplain, The Reverend Dr Mark Dorsett. They have all worked extremely hard to prepare for this service, and this was certainly evident as those in the congregation were mesmerised by their impressive performances.
The service began with the procession, before the traditional solo verse of Once in Royal David’s City. A series of readings were delivered with confidence and clarity by pupils and staff from our Senior School, with the service also including many well-loved Christmas Carols, finishing with a resounding ‘Oh Come All Ye Faithful’.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in this magical occasion, and to those who attended. It was a perfect way to celebrate the end of a wonderful term and the start of what will hopefully be a happy and restful holiday for everyone.
