Freddie P Qualifies for National Biathlon Final

At the end of December, Freddie P (U4) competed in the Pentathlon UK Year 8 Biathlon Northern Qualifier in Lancaster, where he achieved an outstanding second-place finish and now qualifies for the National Biathlon final. 

This remarkable performance secured his spot in the prestigious National Biathlon Final and sees him currently ranked ninth nationally among all entrants.

Freddie showcased his impressive skills during the competition, particularly in the 100m freestyle swim, where he came close to his personal best with a time of 1:10.46, earning a fantastic 1072 points. In his 1600m run, Freddie clocked an impressive time of 5:36.91 and gained 1166 points, his combined effort demonstrated exceptional determination and resilience.

The National Biathlon Final, set to take place on Saturday 22nd March in Bath, offers an exciting opportunity for Freddie to compete against the country’s top athletes.

Freddie also competed in the Worcestershire & Warwickshire County Cross Country Championships over the Christmas break and put in an excellent performance to finish in the top 10 in a strong field, he was also the first Worcestershire runner home.
