Good Food Week Serves Up Flavour, Fun and Food for Thought

Good Food Week has been very popular across the school this week, as pupils experienced different national dishes while also participating in thought-provoking activities.

Throughout the week, pupils have been enjoying a ‘Taste of the Countries’, with a different international cuisine featured each day, including flavours from Italy, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Brazil and Korea.

The Dining Hall has been full of excitement as pupils have explored a wide range of global dishes, as well as gourmet smashed burgers being served in the marquee and supplier tasting pop-ups giving pupils the chance to explore new ingredients and flavours.

As part of the week pupils also took part in nutrition and sustainability assemblies, promoting healthy eating and encouraging thoughtful food choices.

The Thomas Franks Foundation partnered with our catering team to provide a nutritious meal and dessert for 130 people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham, alongside talks with students about food poverty and supporting local communities.

A fantastic week of discovery, learning and giving back.
