King’s U18A Netballers Celebrate Superb Performances

The U18A netball team had a fantastic day at the University of Worcester’s Invitational Tournament on Sunday, finishing 2nd overall after a competitive day of netball.

The girls played six matches, coming away with four wins, one draw and one loss:

  • King’s 17–12 RGS
  • University of Worcester 24–18 King’s
  • King’s 16–12 Wrekin
  • King’s 14–10 Berkhamsted
  • King’s 13–13 Penarth
  • King’s 21–16 Titans

It was a great opportunity to play lots of different combinations throughout the day. The girls grew in confidence and developed their connections as the tournament went on. They faced a range of challenges and adapted well to a range of tightly contested games.

The team played with great intensity and fearlessness, showing plenty of confidence to take on their opponents and play their own game. Feeding accuracy was consistently strong, giving us plenty of opportunities in the circle and helping the attack to build momentum.

Defensively, it was a real team effort. The girls worked hard for each other, with the centre-pass defence particularly effective in creating turnovers and putting pressure on the opposition. There was some excellent work rate and across the whole team to gain possession.

Overall, it was a brilliant day for the U18A squad. The girls showed resilience, and a real willingness to work for each other, and finishing 2nd overall was a fantastic reward for their efforts.

Well done to all the girls – a great performance and a really enjoyable day of netball!
