Heads of School Announced for 2025-2026

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan A and Sonali P as the Heads of School for the 2025-2026 academic year. Both students have demonstrated exceptional leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to the school community.

Heads of School 2025-26

Sonali has been part of the King’s community since joining King’s St Alban’s in Year 2. During her time at King’s, she has made valuable contributions to sport, the arts and co-curricular activities, as well as to the wider community.

She is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and EPQ and hopes to study Medicine at university.

Sonali has been an active netball player since starting at King’s, and has represented the school in the 1st and 2nd team, competing at Regional Championships and at Superball. She has completed both the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and is currently working towards achieving the Gold level. A talented vocalist, she is currently working towards her Grade 8 singing.

Sonali plays an active role in the community, regularly volunteering at Acorn’s Children’s Hospice and at a local care home.

On her appointment, Sonali said: “I am very grateful to be selected. I would like to motivate all pupils to be kind and respectful and to embrace the dynamic range of co-curricular opportunities that King’s has to offer.”

Former Hawfordian, Dan, started his King’s journey in reception. Since then, he has played an active role in the King’s community.

Involved in CCF since Year 9, Dan is currently the Head of Army Section. He is also an exceptional rugby player, having played for King’s since his time at Hawford, going on to win the National Plate as part of the Under 15s team as well as Modus. He has seen further achievements in swimming, Duke of Edinburgh and numerous Chemistry Olympiads.

Currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and EPQ, his studies are one of his greatest passions. Thinking to the future, he hopes to study natural sciences at Cambridge.

Dan commented: “My aim as this coming year’s Head of School is to serve the King’s community to the best of my ability and to encourage everyone and anyone in the King’s community to take part in all that they can, whether it is in their comfort zone or not.”
