Jasmine S Secures Accountancy Apprenticeship
Upper Sixth student, Jasmine S, has accepted an apprenticeship with Worcestershire accountancy firm Ormerod Rutter, marking an exciting next step as she prepares to begin her career after King’s.
Currently taking her A level exams in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, Jasmine will join the firm on a training pathway that combines workplace experience with professional qualifications, offering her the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in accountancy over the coming years.
The first year will see Jasmine complete a level 4 qualification, equivalent to an undergraduate degree, after which she will move on to a level 7 qualification, equivalent to a master’s, where she can choose to specialise in a specific area of accountancy
Jasmine applied for several apprenticeship opportunities alongside university applications, successfully navigating a competitive recruitment process that included submitting a cover letter and CV, online testing, interviews, and a group assessment session with other applicants.
Throughout the process, Jasmine was supported by the King’s Careers Department, which helped her prepare her applications and approach each stage with confidence.
Looking ahead to September, Jasmine said she is excited to embark on her apprenticeship and begin building a career.
Jasmine is the seventh King’s student to have secured an apprenticeship this year, reflecting the growing interest among young people in alternative post-18 pathways.
Congratulations to Jasmine on this outstanding achievement.
