King’s Cadets’ Success at Military Skills Competition

Last Friday Cadet Sergeant Will Gorner led a team of ten army cadets to Nesscliffe Training Area to take part in our Brigade’s annual Military Skills Competition. The team spent all of Saturday visiting various stands on which they were scored, with the team winning the Gun Run stand (something the team had never practised). Sunday morning brought the March and Shoot Competition in which the team had to perform a forced march around a two point two mile long course followed by an air rifle shoot. The team managed to come sixth out of seventeen teams in the March and Shoot and seventh for the overall Milskills Competition. These represent excellent results for a relatively young group. Congratulations to the team members, who were Will Gorner, Calum Muncaster, Emily Warner, David Watson, Ollie Flanagan, William Head, Eszter Horvath, Sami Riaz, Edward Robins and Ben Webb.
