King’s Dancers Perform at Disneyland Paris
Over the February half-term, 29 dancers from Lower Fourth to Upper Sixth went to Disneyland Paris with 3 members of staff for a few days of performances, whilst also enjoying all the Disney parks had to offer.
The first day of the trip was spent exploring the parks, which was a wonderful experience for the Pupils, especially for those who had never been to a Theme park before. The Pupils enjoyed the opportunity to watch some of Disney’s magical parades, go on a range of rides and, of course, take lots of photos around the park and with their favourite Characters. The group then enjoyed an evening at Disneyland’s famous Billy Bob’s Tex Mex restaurant – a popular highlight with the girls.
The next day the group had an early start as our Dancers headed straight to an 8am Workshop with the Disneyland professional Dancers, they were privileged to be taught by the dance captain.
Following this workshop, the group headed to the Videopolis Stage in Discoveryland to get ready for their Disney performance as part of the Disney Performing Arts Onstage programme. It was an incredible experience for our dancers to perform a range of dances on a professional stage in front of an audience at the most magical place on earth.
Following their incredible workshop and performances, the girls were able to relax and spend the rest of the day exploring the Walt Disney Studios Park.
Speaking of her experiences, Lower Sixth Student Miali P said: The Disney dance trip was a wonderful experience, I loved the Disney workshop as it gave me more experience and insight into the realities of the dance world. However, my favourite part of the trip was the performance on the Disney stage as it felt amazing to perform in front of many people.
