King’s Rowers Raise Money with the Million Metre Charity Challenge

The final Friday of the Autumn term saw King’s rowers take on the Million Metre Charity Challenge to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young and Malvern Special Families. The event began at 4PM where the whole club, from Lower Remove to Upper Sixth rowed in shifts until 9PM. Fifth and Sixth Form rowers stayed overnight to keep the ergos going ready for the younger rowers to help in the final hours of the challenge early Saturday morning. All the hard work of the rowers was rewarded as they managed to break the million metre ergo record with a time of 17 hours and 9 minutes, such a great achievement! Donations can still be made via our Just Giving page.
