Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

King’s Rowers Represent West Midlands in Regional Regatta

King’s rowers once again proved their talent on the water as they represented the West Midlands at the Junior Inter regional Regatta on Saturday.

The event was held at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham and featured athletes representing 16 rowing regions from across England, Wales and Scotland.

All our rowers represented the region with distinction, facing a time trial in the morning to seed the afternoon side by side racing. The lake, often renowned for windy and difficult conditions, offered superb conditions, at least until the last couple of races.

Inter Regional Regatta

The afternoon racing was fierce, with crews competing over 1500 metres. The crews were able to put their spring training to great effect and demonstrated the benefits of racing to a plan. It was terrific to see three of our crews move into a lead in the early part of their finals and control the late charge of others, to take line honours.

The points each crew gained from their performances contributed to a very good overall performance for the West Midlands.
