King’s U12 Hockey Team Crowned Plate Final Champions
The King’s U12 hockey team made history by becoming the first ever U12 Plate champions after an excellent run in the Sisters n Sport Plate competition.
In the semi-final, King’s produced a superb performance against Woldingham School, securing an impressive 9–1 victory.
The team demonstrated skilful, free-flowing hockey throughout the match, moving the ball confidently and attacking with real purpose.
In the final, King’s faced a strong Gordon’s School side and made a brilliant start by taking an early 1–0 lead.
Gordon’s responded well and scored twice, meaning King’s had to show determination and composure under pressure. The players stayed calm, trusted one another and refused to let the game slip away.
Once they settled back into their passing game, King’s began to take control again, showing great teamwork and confidence on the ball.
That composure paid off as the team scored two more goals to win the final 3–2 and seal a memorable achievement.
The victory means King’s are the first ever U12 Plate champions, a fantastic reward for their talent, teamwork and resilience throughout the competition.
