King’s Worcester Community Comes Together for Carol Service
On Thursday evening, the King’s Worcester community came together in the Cathedral for a stunning carol service that captured the true spirit of the season and celebrated the conclusion of a memorable term.
Once again, our exceptionally talented Senior musicians delivered a breath taking performance, guided with expertise by Director of Music, Simon Taranczuk, and led in worship by our School Chaplain, The Reverend Dr Mark Dorsett. The School Lower Years and Chamber Choirs, as well as our Senior School Choristers, moved the audience with a series of beautiful carols throughout the course of the evening.
The service opened with the traditional procession, followed by the solo of Once in Royal David’s City. Confident and eloquent readings were shared by pupils and staff from the Senior School, interwoven with much-loved Christmas carols. The celebration culminated in a joyful rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful, leaving the audience uplifted and full of festive cheer.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the carol service and to all those who joined the congregation. It is always a very special moment when we see pupils, staff and families coming together in the inspiring setting of Worcester Cathedral, and we remain grateful and proud of our incredible King’s community.
It was a perfect way to mark the end of a wonderful term.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas.
