Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Lower Years Eco Committee Works to Reduce Waste and Increase Biodiversity

King’s Worcester’s Lower Years Eco Committee has been very busy in recent weeks, working on a number of exciting projects around the School. These include an action plan to tackle school waste, as well as a project to improve biodiversity on the School grounds.

The committee members will soon be launching their Green Waste Campaign to fellow Lower Years pupils, following a training session run by our School caterers, Thomas Franks.

In addition, Director of Operations at King’s, Mr Winter, is keen for the team to help develop the gardens outside our history block, creating a space for pupils and wildlife to enjoy together.

The Eco-Committee have begun to survey the space with the help of Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and are in the process of coming up with a design.

In a follow-up to their assembly last term, the Committee also visited Pack-It-In, located in The Cornmarket, to learn how the shop delivers its zero-waste ethos. We hope that this will help start conversations around packaging and recycling, which will be addressed as part of their action plan and will be shared later in the Spring Term.

With so many exciting projects to work on, the Eco Committee welcomes new members and is always looking for ideas and support!
