Monmouth Group Collaborate for the Future of PSHE and RSE
King’s was delighted to welcome colleagues from 15 schools recently as they came together as part of the Monmouth Group Network for a dynamic and thought-provoking PSHE meeting.
Attendees included leading independent schools such as Bristol Grammar School, Kingswood School (Bath), Queen’s College, and representatives from the Three Choirs School Partnership.
The day provided a valuable opportunity to share expertise and explore the latest developments in the PSHE and RSE curriculum. Discussions focused on key issues shaping young people’s lives today, including online safety, the ongoing debate around social media use, screen time, and the wider impact of digital habits on pupil wellbeing.
A particular highlight of the event was the collaborative exchange of ideas around pupil engagement. Monmouth colleagues explored how best to ensure that student voice is central to curriculum design, empowering pupils to contribute meaningfully to the content and direction of their PSHE education.
The energy and openness in the room reflected a shared commitment to delivering high-quality provision and learning from one another.
