RAF Cadets Earn Blue Wings After Thrilling Flights at RAF Cosford
On Wednesday, 25th September, four RAF cadets (Jude A, Sienna R, George G, and Gus C) embarked on an exciting journey to RAF Cosford for an air experience flight.
Despite the unpredictable afternoon weather, all four cadets successfully completed both their flight and ground school training, earning their blue wings badges.
Each cadet enjoyed a 25-minute flight in a Grob Tutor light aircraft, during which they had the unique opportunity to take control of the aircraft. They experienced the primary effects of the flying controls and the thrill of aerobatic manoeuvres, including performing a loop!
A huge thank you goes to 8 AEF for providing such a memorable and exhilarating day. Opportunities to attend these flying days are quite rare at present, so the cadets were fortunate not only to take part but also to have favourable weather conditions that allowed all four to complete their flights.
