Senior Girls Four Claim Superb Second at Wallingford Head
On Sunday, our Senior Girls Four of Upper Six rowers travelled to Wallingford for the annual Wallingford Head of the River, raced over four kilometres upstream on the River Thames.
The team was made up of Emelia S, Jess M, Sophie E, Jasmine S, coxed by Bluebell M (FF).
The girls raced well over the challenging course, overcoming a collision caused by some errant coxing of the opposition, to come home in a magnificent second place, behind St Edwards.

It was also great to see Mr Hemming win his division of the Open Eights with Evesham Rowing Club, as well as OVs Jamie MacDonald and Emily Havercroft representing the Royal Air Force and City of Cambridge, respectively.
Overall it was a highly successful and enjoyable day at Wallingford Head; congratulations to all the girls who took part.
