Sparkling Success for Singing Scholars

Two King’s Worcester Choristers and music scholars have recently achieved remarkable accomplishments in their music careers.

Rory W, one of our Lower Fourth (Y7) Music Scholars, has secured a Distinction in his Grade 8 piano exam this term. He is a young pupil with outstanding musical abilities, who joined the Senior School from King’s St Alban’s. Currently, he is a chorister in the Cathedral Choir and plays not only the piano but also the organ and French horn.

Lower Remove Music Scholar Benedict R has been offered a place in the National Youth Choir. Benedict, who is currently the Head Chorister Emeritus of the Cathedral Choir, has been selected among the best singers in the country. The National Youth Choir is an auditioned choir that holds residential courses during the holidays, culminating in a concert at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall.

Congratulations to both Rory and Benedict. Both boys will be singing at the much-loved King’s Carol Service on Friday, 15th December, along with the rest of the Choristers and our School Choirs.
