Success at British Rowing Indoor Championships
On Saturday, a team of 55 rowers competed at the British Rowing Indoor Championships at the NEC, alongside some 1800 competitors. All our rowers put in outstanding performances, including Florence V (UR), who took gold in the Year 10 Girls 500 metre event before combining with Amelia V (U6), Luke M (L6) and Bentley L (L6), to win the Gold Medal in Mixed Junior Relay in a fierce battle with RGS.
During the sensational afternoon and evening sessions, medals were also won by:
Freddie B (FF) – BRONZE – Year 11 Boys’ 500 metres.
Luke M (L6) – BRONZE – Sixth Form Boys’ 500 metres.
Josh L (U6), Tom W (U6), Freddie B (FF), Freddie G (FF) – SILVER – Boys’ Relay
Jude A (U6), Elliott B (U6), Fin I (U6), Tom P (L6) – BRONZE – Boys’ Relay
Rebecca N, Harry W (U6), Charlie M-W, Jess M (L6) BRONZE – Junior Mixed Relay
We also had many other tight races with fourth places and top 10 and top 20 places across our teams.
