U15s Girls’ Cricket Team Seal National Cup Quarter-Final Spot

The girls’ U15 cricket team have delivered two outstanding performances recently against Solihull School and Oundle in the National Cup.

The victories now see the girls progress to the quarter finals of the competition, which will be held later in the month.

King’s Worcester U15 Girls Cup Match – Round 3

King’s School Worcester U15 Girls produced a superb all-round performance to defeat Solihull School U15 Girls in a memorable cup encounter, which featured a n impressive partnership contribution from Effie S-T and India R.

King’s built their innings around an outstanding knock from Effie S-T, who carried her bat for a brilliant 89 not out from 80 balls, striking 10 fours and 2 sixes. She anchored the innings from start to finish, combining controlled stroke play with intelligent running between the wickets.

Support came from Eshal R, whose patient 10 not out helped ensure King’s finished strongly, Charlotte B added a useful 8 runs.

In response, Solihull started positively but King’s bowlers gradually tightened their grip on the match. The breakthrough came from Charlotte B, who removed their opening batter and finished with key wickets to disrupt the chase.

India R who delivered a devastating spell of bowling which saw her quickly progress through the Solihull batting order, claiming a magnificent five-wicket haul and completing a superb hat-trick, turning the match decisively in King’s favour.

Solihull were unable to build any meaningful partnerships as King’s maintained control throughout the chase.

King’s Worcester can take great confidence from this performance as they continue their U15 Cup campaign, combining powerful batting, disciplined fielding and match-winning bowling in an impressive victory.

King’s Worcester U15 Girls Cup Match – Round 4

King’s Worcester U15 Girls booked their place in the quarter-finals of the National Cup with an impressive all-round victory, overcoming a strong Oundle side through disciplined bowling, outstanding fielding, and confident batting.

Having won their previous round in style, King’s fielded first and immediately set the tone with their energy and intensity in the field. The bowlers worked together superbly to restrict Oundle to 129 for 7 from their 20 overs, while the fielders backed them up brilliantly throughout with sharp catching, ground fielding, and excellent communication.

Leading the way with the ball was Flo B, who claimed three key wickets in a match-winning spell. Elin M continued the pressure with two wickets, while Charlotte B also picked up two wickets, ensuring that Oundle were never able to build the momentum needed to post a larger total.

Chasing 130 for victory, King’s approached the target with confidence and composure. Effie S-T laid the foundations with a fluent 44, in a crucial partnership with Issie F who produced an excellent unbeaten 51, supported by Daisy B to guide the team home. The batting unit showed maturity and positive intent throughout the innings, reaching 130 for 1 with 11 balls to spare.

The result reflected a complete team performance. Every player contributed in the field, maintaining high standards and positivity throughout a challenging contest. The girls showed great character, supported one another brilliantly, and executed their skills under pressure.

This excellent victory sees King’s Worcester progress to the National Cup Quarter-Finals, a fantastic achievement and a reward for the hard work and commitment shown by the squad throughout the season.
