The King's Team

Ben joined King’s Worcester in September 2025 as Head of Foundation, having served since 2019 as Principal and Head of the Senior School at King’s Rochester, a co-educational cathedral school for pupils aged 3–18. Prior to this, he was Second Master at Portsmouth Grammar School, with responsibility for operational matters, pastoral care and safeguarding.

A graduate in Music from the University of Exeter, Ben completed his PGCE at the University of Durham before beginning his teaching career as Assistant Director of Music at King’s School Peterborough. He went on to become Director of Music at Chigwell School and later Millfield School, before moving into senior leadership.

In addition to his  role Ben is a committee member of the Choir Schools’ Association and a prep school governor. An experienced choral conductor and singer, he is also a keen sports enthusiast, supporting teams from his native Leicester.

Ben is a lifelong music lover and rugby fan, happiest conducting a choir, cheering on the Leicester Tigers, or spending time with his wife, Helen and children by the sea in Suffolk or on the Isle of Wight.

David joined King’s Worcester in June 2026 as Senior Deputy Head following senior leadership roles in leading international schools in the Middle and Far East as well as the UK state sector.

His leadership career so far has enabled David to gain deep experience in all aspects of school life, from pedagogy to pastoral care and performance management to safeguarding. In his most recent school-based role David worked directly with Professor John Hattie to lead teacher professional learning – developing expertise he then took into leading initial teacher training on a global scale on behalf of the Tes Institute.

Prior to and during his leadership roles, David spent over 20 very happy years teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level, seeing many of his students progress on to undergraduate study at high-calibre universities around the world and taking their passion for the subject into their professional and personal lives. He has also taken great pleasure in establishing and running several school judo clubs.

David holds postgraduate qualifications in Education and Educational Leadership as well as the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers and places great importance on teachers immersing themselves in continuous learning to remain up to date whilst reminding themselves what it means to learn.

Out of school David spends as much time as possible outdoors and seeing new places with his family, who quietly tolerate his musings on the many geographical phenomena that pique his interest.

Harriet joined King’s in January 2023 as Deputy Head (Pastoral). She has a special interest in young people’s mental health and well-being and the factors which can have an impact upon these.

She is a born and bred Brummie and taught first at King Edward’s High School for Girls and Elmhurst Ballet School as a French and Spanish teacher. She moved to London in 2015, where she joined Forest School, a large independent day school for children aged 4-18. She was subsequently promoted, first to Head of House and then Head of Middle School and was a member of Forest’s Senior Leadership Team, directly responsible for the academic progress, personal development and safeguarding of pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11.

She firmly believes that School, working in partnership with parents and carers, with pupil voice at the centre of that work, can have a hugely positive impact on every young person’s development.

Chris joined the King’s Foundation in August 2026 as Deputy Head (Academic and Innovation), responsible for academic leadership, curriculum, and digital innovation across King’s Worcester, King’s St Alban’s, and King’s Hawford.

He arrives from the Middle East, where he was Vice Principal for Innovation, Technology and Research at one of the region’s leading technology schools. He has taught Computer Science at A level and IB Higher Level for many years, sending students on to Oxbridge and to industry placements, and has been housemaster of a boys’ boarding house. His doctorate from Abertay University in Dundee is in automated assessment systems and how they can benefit teaching and learning.

Twenty-six years across independent, international and comprehensive schools have given him a settled view of what helps young people learn: strong teaching first, and technology only where it earns its place. Pupils at King’s are taught with pen and paper and with screens, each used where the evidence says it works best, and taught to know the difference. He wants every pupil leaving King’s to be fluent with technology, including knowing when to put it down.

Chris grew up in South Africa and has taught in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with eighteen years in British schools in between. He moved to Worcester with his wife, Ingrid, and their cocker spaniel, Milo. Most mornings start with a dog walk and end in the gym, lifting heavy things. Good coffee features throughout.

Georgina joined the King’s Foundation in 2021, following 8 years working as a Finance Director in the manufacturing sector.

After completing her Accountancy degree at Cardiff University, Georgina trained as a Chartered Accountant with RSM Robson Rhodes. She then made the decision to move into industry in 2008 as she wanted to influence the strategy of an organisation and make a difference!

Over the last 12 years, Georgina has worked for two multinational engineering groups, both giving her very different experiences and skills which she is very excited to now have the opportunity to put into use in an exciting new sector.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family; anything that gets them outdoors. You will often find them hiking up a mountain or exploring their local nature reserve regardless of the weather.

When she gets some time to herself Georgina enjoys running and perhaps more unusually sewing, where she is happy creating things for her young daughter and friends’ children.

Adam joined Kings in February 2015 as Estates Manager and became Director Of Operations in April 2023.

Having graduated from Reading with a degree in Land Management and Development, Adam began his career as Facilities Manager at The Leadership Trust, the UK’s largest provider of open leadership development programmes. He progressed through the company over a 12-year period to become Operations Director.

In 2011, Adam co-founded White Orca, a digital media and information management business, where he was Director for four years before joining King’s.

Adam spends his spare time with family and friends, outdoors as much as possible and usually on two wheels.

Having completed a BA (Hons) degree in Strategic Marketing at Bournemouth University and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Marketing, Emily started her career path working at Global Advertising agency TBWA. Following that, she took up a Marketing Campaign Management role within Endsleigh Insurance (Zurich Group) and then RWE Npower, where she spent nine years gaining a variety of experience across multiple marketing disciplines and wider strategic projects.

Emily joined King’s in August 2018 bringing a range of commercial experience across multiple marketing disciplines and a real passion and energy to view the world through the eyes of the customer.

Out of work, Emily is kept occupied by her energetic family. A keen interior designer and fitness fanatic, at weekends you’ll find her planning her next colour scheme at home or enjoying the great outdoors with my family.

Rachael Worth joined King’s in September 2003 as a Teacher of Biology. Passionate about supporting pupils through the important transition into senior school, she has always had a particular affinity for the Lower Years, serving as both a Lower Four and Upper Four tutor. In 2015, she was appointed Deputy Head of Lower Years and, from September 2026, becomes Head of Lower Years, joining the Senior Leadership Team.

Born in Devon, Rachael spent part of her childhood living in Zambia. She graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc (Hons) in Human and Applied Biology with Environmental Studies. Following several years of travelling she gained her PGCE from the University of Southampton and began her teaching career at St Helen’s School in Northwood before joining King’s.

Outside of school, Rachael is a keen year-round open water swimmer and firmly believes there is no such thing as water that is too cold. She enjoys early morning walks with her dog, tackling projects around the family home and seeking out the perfect flat white whenever the opportunity arises.

As Head of Sixth Form, Josh Hand has the privilege of working with students at a pivotal point in their lives, helping them make the most of their final years at school and prepare for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. He feels incredibly fortunate to have a role that he genuinely loves. Supporting young people as they grow into confident, ambitious and compassionate adults, and helping them prepare for life beyond school, is a real privilege.

Working closely with students, parents and colleagues, Josh is passionate about ensuring that every student is known, supported and challenged to achieve their very best. He also oversees the school’s excellent Careers team, helping students explore the wide range of opportunities available to them and make informed decisions about their futures.

Josh’s route into teaching began during a gap year in New Zealand, where he combined playing rugby with working in a school. The experience sparked his desire to build a career in education and work with young people. He went on to study Economics at the University of Nottingham before completing postgraduate studies at the Universities of Bristol and Warwick. Alongside his role as Head of Sixth Form, he teaches Mathematics.

Beyond the classroom, Josh coaches the U12 rugby team and supports aspects of Lower Fourth games. This gives him the opportunity to get to know many pupils well before they reach the Sixth Form, and he particularly enjoys watching them develop throughout their time at King’s before welcoming them into the Sixth Form community.

Away from school, Josh enjoys spending time with his young family, whether cycling in the Forest of Dean, playing cricket, volunteering at junior parkrun or supporting a local junior athletics club. Running is a particular passion, and he especially enjoys cross-country racing, half marathons and full marathons.

Josh’s vision for the Sixth Form is to create a community where every student feels valued, develops the confidence to embrace new opportunities, and leaves King’s exceptionally well prepared for the exciting challenges and possibilities that lie ahead.
