A Challenging but Very Successful Junior Rowing Camp

Over the Easter break more than fifty of our Remove Form (Years 9 and 10) rowers descended on Shrewsbury for their annual rowing camp. The students dealt incredibly well with the challenge of a swollen river and tackled the tasks with great enthusiasm. They posted terrific times on the rowing machines, made great use of the rowing tank in technical development and adjusted well to the rigours of a residential training environment. The use of the nearby Betton Pool (lake) provided some much needed time on the water and we fully utilised this outstanding resource. The rowers made incredible progress over the course of the week and demonstrated this in an exciting regatta on the final day.
