Fifth Form Pupils Experience Life as a King’s Sixth Former
Pupils from the Fifth Form were given a taste of life as a Sixth Form student at King’s on Wednesday.
For the first time in this annual event, they were joined by a number of pupils from local schools who are considering joining the King’s community for their Sixth Form years.
The day kicked off with an assembly in the JMT, followed by a series of A level taster sessions to enable informed subject choices.
Following lunch, the group came back together for a fascinating and informative elective presentation, where Sixth Form staff explained how the various electives, including TEFL and BSL, Sports Leadership and EPQ, are structured and the benefits they offer.
Pupils were able to explore the outstanding Sixth Form facilities, including the dedicated study areas and café in the Weston Centre.
Students at King’s Sixth Form are empowered to make decisions, take responsibility, and begin to find their own voice – all within the safe and supportive environment of the King’s community.
As well as a stimulating academic curriculum and advanced skills programme, the Sixth Form offers specialist careers guidance, over 100 co-curricular options, and an extensive alumni network providing invaluable professional and social connections.
