Friendship and Adventure at Lower Years Activity Days

The academic year kicked off in style for our Lower Years pupils, as they spent a time building friendships through outdoor activities and adventures.

The Lower Four had a fantastic day recently at Blackwell Adventure, which saw every pupil from the year group enjoying a fun-packed day in glorious Autumn weather. This annual trip is always a fantastic way for our youngest pupils to get to know each other a little better and settle into life at King’s Senior School.

Lower Four pupils enjoyed a range of activities from the Giant Zip Wire, Laser Quest, Crate Stacking as well as the Tree Climb.

A lot of the boys and girls stepped out of their comfort zones and were supported by others in their Form group.

Meanwhile, all pupils in the Upper Fourth went to Oaker Wood for a day of teambuilding, activities and fun.

Pupils worked in form groups on problem solving and physical activities in the morning and enjoyed the choice of high ropes and paintballing in the afternoon.

The pupils impressed the Oaker Wood instructors with their energy, commitment and behaviour.  At the end of the day, 130 tired children returned to King’s having been pushed slightly out of comfort zones and certainly more bonded as forms.

It was a delight to see all the pupils engaging with each other and enjoying such a fun day together.

Pupils returned home not only with exciting stories but also with strengthened friendships and a sense of accomplishment. The outing sets a positive tone for the school year ahead, laying the foundation for teamwork and camaraderie that will last throughout their journey through King’s.
