GCSE Geography Pupils Enhance Fieldwork Skills in Bristol

Our Fifth Form Geography pupils embraced their fieldwork opportunity on Thursday as they explored the Harbourside area of Bristol.

In addition to enjoying a boat trip to observe the dynamic nature of the area, pupils worked in small groups to investigate the success of the harbourside regeneration. This involved using various fieldwork techniques, including a questionnaire to gauge public perception.

All pupils were a credit to King’s. Throughout the trip, they demonstrated excellent engagement with the tasks, asked insightful questions, and worked collaboratively.

At King’s, pupils across the year groups are offered regular opportunities to extend their academic learning through a rich and varied programme of trips and activities. This experience not only enhanced our young geographers’ understanding of urban geography, but also helped them develop key fieldwork skills that will be essential for their GCSE exams.
