King’s Impress at Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens
King’s had a fantastic week at the Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens tournament, with teams across the age groups delivering impressive performances.
In total, we won 21 games of 27; a fantastic all-round effort across the programme, showcasing the depth of talent throughout the school and showing great promise for the future.
U18 Boys
The team claimed the top spot in their pool, with commanding wins to reach the knockout stages and progress to the Vase semi-finals, finishing in the top four for the second year running against some of the best schools in the country.
They were knocked out by the eventual winners, and as a young side, this performance bodes very well for next year.
U16 Boys
A series of skilled performance saw the U16s top their group with three pool wins on day one, earning a place in the knockout stages in day two.
They advanced into the final 32 of the competition, an incredibly strong performance from a field of around 272 teams.
U14 Boys
The group were strong and energetic group throughout the tournament, delivering competitive performances and showing great depth. They were knocked out by the eventual winners of the tournament in a very competitive game.
U13 Boys
The team played in a round-robin draw format, where teams compete within their group rather than in knockouts, and finished top of their draw, winning all four matches.
U11 Boys
The U11s took part in a festival-style competition that focused on participation and development, with a mixed King’s St Alban’s & Hawford side winning three of their four games while gaining valuable national experience.
