King’s Unveils the Weston Sixth Form Centre: A Day of Celebration
This week, we proudly unveiled the remarkable new Weston Sixth Form Centre, marking a significant milestone in the history of King’s Worcester. The day was filled with celebrations and warmly attended by parents, pupils, Old Vigornians, and special guests.
The festivities included exclusive tours of the stunning new facilities, where current pupils, parents, and alumni explored the innovative spaces designed to inspire learning and growth. A highlight of the day was the official opening ceremony, followed by a special treat for every senior school pupil, who enjoyed a celebratory cupcake during morning break.
At King’s Worcester, we are dedicated to fostering academic excellence and developing well-rounded, independent learners. This holistic approach to education is beautifully reflected in the design of the new Sixth Form Centre.
The centre features a variety of modern study areas equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering students the flexibility to work independently or collaboratively. Seminar-style classrooms encourage dynamic and interactive learning, while the vibrant café provides a welcoming space for students to relax and recharge.
During the opening ceremony, we were delighted to recognise Old Vigornian, John Weston, for his generous support of the project. Representing him, John Foley joined Acting Head, Dr Alison Oliver, to officially unveil the centre’s plaque, commemorating this significant addition to the school.
Dr Oliver reflected on the occasion, saying: “The development of our Sixth Form Centre has been driven by a desire to provide our students with the best possible environment for their academic and personal development. The facilities are a testament to our commitment to providing a space where our students can thrive, explore their potential, and prepare for the future with confidence.”
