Will D Selected for England U20 Pathway Development Camp

Congratulations to 18-year-old hooker Will D, a Sixth Form student and player within Coventry’s Academy Pathway, who has been named in the England Rugby Men’s Pathway Front Five Development Camp.

This selection is a fantastic achievement for Will, who has only just turned 18, and represents an exciting step as he progresses towards the England U20s.

Will has been named as this year’s 1st XV captain, having consistently made a strong impact on the pitch. He has been an important member of several Modus squads, helping secure victories over the last two years.

The England Rugby Front Five Camp takes place this weekend at Bisham Abbey, where Will will join other top talents from across the country. The programme includes three high-level training sessions across grass and 3G pitches, gym work, and indoor positional-specific development.

Foundation Director of Sport, Jonny Mason, said: “Will has been an outstanding performer for King’s year after year since he joined in Year 7. He has always been a great role model and leader and thoroughly deserves this opportunity to impress the England coaches.”

Matt Jones, Academy Manager at Coventry Rugby, commented: “Will is an outstanding individual within our Academy set-up and has made significant progress over the past few months, thanks to his own commitment, exposure to senior training opportunities and the excellent support he receives from King’s School Worcester. He has a bright future in the game, and we look forward to supporting his next steps as he takes on this new stage.”

Everyone at King’s and Coventry Rugby is incredibly proud of Will’s selection, and we wish him every success as he takes part in this prestigious development camp.
