1st VII through to fourth round of Independent Schools Netball Cup

The netball fixtures here at King’s are now in full swing, with most teams either having a mid-week or weekend fixture. Last week saw two U12 teams travel to Dodderhill and for some, enjoyed their first opportunity to compete for the school playing netball.

This week the 1st VII had their third round in the Independent Schools Netball Cup (ISNC), playing Bradfield College. This was a team that we had not encountered before and so posed as an unknown. However, after a slow start, the girls built on all defensive areas, creating a number of turnovers through the mid-court. The third quarter was where they pulled away and finished with a score of 47-33. They now await the draw to see who they will face in the fourth round.

Lastly, we wish the U15 squad good luck for their first ISNC game away to St Helens and St Katherines tomorrow and to all seven teams playing Solihull and King Edwards at the weekend.
