King’s Pupils Enjoy Fantastic Performance at Athletics Championships

On Saturday 8th June, thirty-three King’s pupils competed in the County Championships, with many having qualified for multiple events. Despite the awful weather conditions, there were some fantastic performances from King’s athletes and we reached twenty-five track finals and eighteen top eight finishes in field events. Medals were achieved by: Laurie Checkley (800m); Louisa De Vos (Hurdles & Long Jump); Immie Gillgrass (800m & 400m); Ed Kerton (Javelin); George Monce (400m); Harry Paddock (High Jump); Josh Richardson (Hurdles); Adam Rutter (Hammer & Discus); Alex Ward (High Jump & 100m); Emily Wood (Discus and Shot); Bella Woodcock (Triple Jump); Amy Hughes (Long Jump); Evie Hawkesford-Johnson (1500m) and Holly Wylde (Javelin). We look forward to hearing how the four pupils who have been selected to compete for Hereford & Worcestershire at the Mason Trophy get on this weekend.
