New Faces at King’s Worcester 2026/27

We would like to welcome the following new members of teaching staff who have joined the King’s family this term, bringing a wealth of varied experience and knowledge.

Alfie Marston, Director of Cricket

Mr Marston joins King’s with a wealth of experience in cricket. He will already be a familiar face to many through his work with Worcestershire County Cricket Club, where his roles included Women’s Head Coach, Girls’ Pathway Performance Coach and Boys’ Sub-Academy Coach. He also served as Head of Cricket at the University of Worcester for four years.

Originally from Suffolk, Mr Marston has previously played cricket there, as well as in Perth, Australia, and currently represents Ombersley Cricket Club.

As Director of Cricket, Mr Marston will focus on developing our pupils’ skills as well as strengthening relationships with players across the Foundation, which will include continuing to nurture young talent through the prep schools’ Saturday morning development programme. He has already been impressed by the ability emerging through the schools and by the number of pupils currently taking part in county trials.

Isobel Ingram, Teacher of Spanish and French

Miss Ingram will work across King’s St Alban’s and King’s Worcester, teaching Spanish and French. Born in Wales, she spent much of her life in the Loire region of France and studied Applied Foreign Languages at Université de Rennes. She also completed a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Edinburgh, followed by her PGCE in Worcester.

Having returned to England in 2019, Miss Ingram now lives locally with her family. She previously taught languages in Bromsgrove and, before entering education, worked in international commerce and aboard cruise ships.

 

 

Nikki Segust-Roberts, Library Assistant and Sixth Form Study Facilitator

Originally from Hereford, Mrs Segust-Roberts has lived in Worcester with her family for the past ten years. Before joining King’s, she worked as a librarian at The Hive, where she also organised events, and previously taught Biology and Environmental Science at Worcester Sixth Form College.

At King’s, she will work alongside Ms Jeffery in the library and support Sixth Form pupils in the Bolland Room during their study periods. Mrs Segust-Roberts said she has been grateful for the exceptionally warm welcome she has received since starting at the School, and particularly from Ms Jeffery.

 

Ximena Carrillo, Spanish Lead

Originally from Ecuador, Mrs Carrillo has lived in Worcestershire for 24 years. She began teaching Spanish 15 years ago, initially through after-school clubs at a primary school, before spending 14 years at Malvern St James.

Before moving into education, Mrs Carrillo worked as a biologist in Ecuador. Her fascinating work in the rainforest included projects supporting the conservation of river turtles and investigating new species of piranha.
