Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Thrives at King’s

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) Programme at King’s continues to flourish, with pupils across all year groups actively participating in the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.

This year, an impressive 90 Lower Remove pupils have enrolled in the Bronze Award. Their journey began with a training session on Wednesday, where they were introduced to the eDofE App to record their Skills and Physical activities. Over the next 3-6 months, they will commit at least one hour per week to their Physical and Skills sections, with Volunteering work commencing at the start of the Upper Remove.

Meanwhile, Upper Remove pupils also had their first expedition training in preparation for their upcoming outdoor challenge later this term.

At the Silver level, 22 Lower Sixth students are now working towards their Gold Award, following the success of last term’s Silver Award recipients. Their commitment reflects the dedication and perseverance required to progress through the DofE programme.

A special mention goes to the six Upper Sixth students who have completed their Gold Award – an outstanding achievement while still at school.
