Green Day 2025 Raises Funds for Local Charities

This year’s Green Day was a huge success, helping to support two incredible local charities – The Emily Jordan Foundation and Wildgoose Rural Training.

Organised by the Sixth Form Charity Committee, donations for the charities were collected throughout the day.

Dressed in green-themed non-uniform, pupils enjoyed a delicious cake sale at morning break. In addition, and for the first time on Green Day, a second-hand clothes sale was held for the Lower Years in College Hall. This initiative encouraged pupils to recycle clothing, supporting the school’s commitment to sustainability while also raising further funds.

By running the day, the Charity Committee hopes to help the School’s pupil-led Eco Committee to purchase bird/bat boxes for the School site, made by The Emily Jordan Foundation. This charity runs a number of projects with the primary aim of helping young people with Learning Difficulties find employment and learn new skills.

Wildgoose Rural Training, situated just outside Worcester, is a 42-acre site featuring a care farm and nature reserve. It supports adults in learning new skills and also provides education for young people unable to be in a mainstream school, through a connection with nature and the environment.

Thank you to the Charity Committee for their hard work in organising this event, and for everyone who supported it. The final total raised is yet to be announced; watch this space to find out the grand total!
