The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Harry C Selected for Swim England’s National Youth Development Programme

Massive congratulations to Harry C (L6) for being selected for Swim England’s Endurance Talent Pathway, as part of the prestigious National Youth Development Programme for 2024/25. This remarkable achievement highlights Harry’s talent and potential in endurance swimming, specifically in long-distance events, where he continues to make waves.

The programme seeks to identify and develop swimmers who will lead the charge in endurance swimming in Great Britain. Harry’s selection comes after an outstanding 2023-24 season, where he delivered exceptional performances on the national stage, including at the British Summer Championships and Swim England’s National Summer Meet. His fast swims in these elite competitions secured his place among the country’s most promising young endurance athletes.

As part of the programme, Harry will receive specialist support in strength and conditioning, alongside psychological and physiotherapy resources, further enhancing his training and performance potential.

Harry also recently enjoyed his best British Championships yet, qualifying for seven events and reaching the finals in six of them in the 16-year-old age category. He finished 8th in the 50m Butterfly, as well as the 100m and 200m Freestyle. In the 400m Freestyle, Harry led the race from the start but narrowly missed out on a podium finish, placing 4th in an intense final. He showed incredible determination in the 200m Butterfly and 100m Butterfly, earning a silver and bronze respectively—his first-ever medals at the British Championships.

Well done, Harry! What an incredible achievement, and we are all extremely proud of you!
