Milly Thompson (Lower Sixth) took part in the regional finals of ARTiculation at the Barber Institute, Birmingham, on Wednesday 16th January. The ARTiculation Prize is a national public speaking competition for students aged between sixteen and nineteen. Students deliver a ten minute presentation on a work of art, architecture or an artefact of their choice in front of an audience and an adjudicator. Over one thousand students entered in 2019. There were six candidates in the regional finals. Milly's presentation was based on the Chris Ofili painting No Woman, No Cry. It was very well received, and the adjudicator, Charlotte Higgins (Chief Culture writer of the Guardian), complimented Milly on her extremely strong research and visual analysis, and her passion for art which was clear throughout.
