King’s Geography GCSE Pupils’ Fieldwork
An essential feature of the Geography GCSE course is for pupils to get out of the classroom and engage in practical fieldwork. On Monday and Tuesday seventy-nine Upper Remove (Year 10) geographers had an enjoyable and productive day based at Bishops Wood Field Centre. After an initial classroom session they spent the bulk of the day in the Wyre Forest in splendid sunshine collecting data to investigate the features of a stream. A follow up session back in the classroom gave an opportunity to present data and reflect on the findings. Both King’s and Centre staff were impressed with the attitude and engagement of the pupils.
