King’s Host Indoor Rowing Championship

On Saturday 18^th January, the Boat Club held its annual indoor rowing championships, where schools and clubs from the region competed alongside our own rowing squads.

With some 300 competitors racing in individual and relay events, the atmosphere was fantastic. The athletes came together to create an incredible feeling of great energy in what was a celebration of youth rowing in the region.

Teams from Cheltenham College, RGS, KES – Stratford, Stratford upon Avon, Hereford Rowing Club, and Worcester Rowing Club all attended in force. Racing was hotly contested, with many of the medals decided by a fraction of a second, and the spoils being well distributed across all the teams.

Parents of the senior rowers baked a wonderful offering and manned the ever-popular hot drinks and cake stall; thank you to everyone for their efforts.
