Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

King’s Perform with Opera Worcester and Malvern Festival Chorus

At the end of last term two Lower Sixth Music Scholars were busy with two large-scale musical events. Together with Old Vigornian, Aaron Prewer-Jenkinson in the title role, Michael Burgess and Amy Heptinstall had solo roles in Opera Worcester’s fully-staged production of The Marriage of Figaro at the Swan Theatre. Both gave excellent performances in an entertaining production.

A few days later they had very different solo roles in the Malvern Festival Chorus’ performance of Handel’s Messiah at Malvern Priory. They both won a recent competition organised by the Chorus to find local young voices and sang a number of the solos alongside the highly acclaimed professional tenor soloist James Oxley who gave them both a separate masterclass on Saturday as part of their prize.
