After two years of disrupted study, the year 11 pupils at King’s today proudly received their GCSE results which reflected on six terms of hard work and tenacity.
Headmaster, Gareth Doodes, today celebrated the journey that they have travelled. ‘It has been an emotionally challenging time for pupils as they faced their GCSE studies, yet despite this the results that they have been given show a group of pupils who are excelling in every way. Their hard work and perseverance have paid off, and the relief on their faces this morning when they came into school was overwhelming.
These fine young boys and girls have now achieved an exceptional foundation for their sixth form studies, as we welcome the largest intake of new pupils into King’s for many years, who will join a year group who are ambitious, hardworking, and determined. We are very excited for the coming two years, and I am very grateful to the staff and pupils for all they have done through the challenges of the last 17 months.’
