King's Senior

Independent co-educational day school and sixth form for ages 11-18

The life that each student experiences at The King's School, Worcester is a rich mix of academic studies, sporting, cerebral and artistic activities, and a range of opportunities to interact with, and help, local communities, and charities. Our pastoral staff guide the students towards a healthy combination of these areas, always with the school’s aims in mind.

Matthew Armstrong, Headmaster of the King’s School, Worcester since September 2014, is clear about his vision for every King’s pupil.

He believes that the biggest challenge facing young people today is to develop a confident sense of self, a self-assurance which is not reliant on the affirmation of others; a sense of the importance of themselves as individuals rather than a constant seeking to be part of the crowd.

The recent ISI inspection (October 2017), focused on compliance and educational quality. King’s passed the focused compliance section with flying colours and achieved the highest possible ISI rating of ‘excellent’ for both the achievement of pupils, including academic achievement and their personal development.

“‘I would like pupils to come to King’s and leave still curious about the world, still excited to learn and able to adapt to changes which none of us is able to predict"

Mr M Armstrong, MA- Headmaster
