King's Senior

Independent co-educational day school and sixth form for ages 11-18

The life that each student experiences at The King's School, Worcester is a rich mix of academic studies, sporting, cerebral and artistic activities, and a range of opportunities to interact with, and help, local communities, and charities. Our pastoral staff guide the students towards a healthy combination of these areas, always with the school’s aims in mind.

We believe that the biggest challenge facing young people today is to develop a confident sense of self, a self-assurance which is not reliant on the affirmation of others; a sense of the importance of themselves as individuals rather than a constant seeking to be part of the crowd.

The recent ISI inspection (October 2017), focused on compliance and educational quality. King’s passed the focused compliance section with flying colours and achieved the highest possible ISI rating of ‘excellent’ for both the achievement of pupils, including academic achievement and their personal development.

"We will pay tribute to Matthew’s exceptional contribution to the vibrancy and success of the Foundation and its community in due course. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Kate, his parents and family."

Hugh Carslake, Chair of Governors
