King’s U16 Netballers Take County Championship Title for Fourth Consecutive Year

For the fourth consecutive year King’s U16 Netballers took the County Championship title in great style.

After a slow start we had good wins over Pershore and Holy Trinity School. In the next game we were challenged by a strong Malvern College side but with tight and effective defence followed by our fast and accurate attack we pulled away in the second half to win 8 goals to 4. This prepared us well for a tough encounter against Bromsgrove where we were 5 goals up after three minutes and had to maintain the pressure to come away with a 11-6 win. Buzzing from this excellent performance we went straight into playing RGS who had beaten King’s convincingly in the District round.

The girls’ confidence was high and it was great to see them play a fast attacking game which surprised the opposition and themselves winning 9 goals to 6. With a further win against Haybridge King’s brought the trophy home for a fourth time.

We look forward to see how these girls perform in the Regional Tournament in January.
