Welcome to King’s

Joining a new school is an exciting and sometimes a little daunting experience.  We all know what it’s like to start somewhere new and it’s important to remember that all pupils and teachers were once new to King’s too. King’s is a very warm and welcoming school and we are all very much looking forward to you becoming part of our family

We are sure that many of you will be feeling both excited and nervous about starting senior school. Tensure you are ready for a brilliant year ahead, we have brought together everything you need to know about life in the Lower Years at King’s Worcester.

Here on our ‘Joining King’s’ Hub you will find:

Induction Events

If you are joining us in Year 7, you have now been invited to an Induction Event on Thursday 27th June 2024. Here you will have an opportunity to experience a tour of the campus, meet your Tutors and also ask any questions you may have. Don’t forget to make a note of these questions as and when you think of them.

If you are joining us in Year 8 then you will be contacted soon with opportunities to visit us for an induction.

We are all looking forward to getting to know you over the coming weeks and months. September will be here soon and, shortly after that, you will feel as though you have always been part of ‘Big King’s’!

Getting Around King’s

We understand that moving up to King’s Worcester from either of our junior schools or your current primary or prep school can feel a little daunting. You have gone from being at the top of your current school and knowing your way around, to a much bigger place with lots of buildings, facilities and classrooms to find.

If you’d like to familiarise yourself with the school campus you can download (and print) the map below or you can visit our 360o interactive virtual tour. Please note a copy of map will be provided to you in the A-Z Pupil Guide, which you will receive prior to starting.

Clubs & Activities

Whether you’re sporty, creative, a keen debater, or interested in coding, we have over one hundred clubs and societies at King’s Worcester, so our pupils develop a range of skills and qualities. Our co-curriculum encourages life-long interests and healthy, creative, and fulfilling habits of body and mind. A great way to visualise the different categories is on our interactive Co-Curriculum Wheel.

Pupils book their clubs at the start of each term. At the start of the Autumn Term, pupils have the opportunity to attend our activities fair where they can learn more about each club and sign up for their Autumn Term Clubs.
