Lower Four Adventure Day: Building Bonds at Blackwell Adventure Centre
As a way of helping Lower Four pupils settle into life in the senior school, on the 25th of September, 127 pupils travelled to Blackwell Adventure Centre for a day of team bonding. Throughout the day, they took part in various activities, including Laser Tag, the 3G Swing, Zip Wire, and Archery.
The activities encouraged pupils to step outside their comfort zones and work together. Laser tag ignited a spirit of friendly competition, fostering teamwork as they strategised and cheered each other on. The thrill of the 3G Swing and Zip Wire saw pupils embracing their fears, creating moments of bravery, with many encouraging their peers to take part.
Archery offered a unique challenge, allowing pupils to focus and develop new skills. Under the supervision of instructors, they had the opportunity to gain new experiences while learning the importance of patience and precision.
Overall, the activity day at Blackwell Adventure Centre provided a perfect blend of excitement and personal growth. Pupils returned home not only with exciting stories but also with strengthened friendships and a sense of accomplishment. This outing sets a positive tone for the school year ahead, laying the foundation for teamwork and camaraderie that will last throughout their time at King’s.
