Memorable Performances for Lower Years Music Competition

Tuesday this week saw a wonderfully varied feast of music-making from every member of the Lower and Upper Fourth. In the morning we enjoyed almost fifty individual (and a few duet) performances on a wide range of instruments and voices. After lunch an excited crowd filled the Theatre for the form songs, kazoos apparently being the must-have accessory this year.

There were memorable performances throughout the day, with our adjudicator’s choices featuring in the Winners’ Concert on Thursday evening – huge thanks to him, Jonathan Soman (the new Director of Music at RGS Worcester), and to all the music and form teachers who put in much effort to enable this event to work so well. But the biggest congratulations go to all the pupils, who sang, played, and supported each other with such enthusiasm.
