Pupils Showcase Exceptional Talent at School Concert

This term’s highly anticipated School Concert took place in College Hall recently, showcasing the incredible musical talents of 80 pupils from across King’s.

The evening featured outstanding performances from a variety of groups, including the First and Second Orchestra, Wind Band, Jazz Band, Chamber Orchestra, School Choir, and Lower Years Choir.

The Wind Band opened the concert with a wonderful rendition of Prairie Portrait, evoking the vast, open plains of the country, before transporting the audience to Florida with an energetic Disney medley.

Meanwhile, The King’s Swingers delivered two superb performances, with their lively rendition of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough being a particular crowd favourite.

The Lower Years Choir performed a beautiful melody as a round, called Bella Mama, and the School Choir and Chamber Orchestra revisited pieces from their successful music tour to Belgium over half term.

The concert was brought to a close by the First Orchestra, who took centre stage with two fantastic performances of well-known tunes, The Can Can and the Thunderbirds theme.

It was an unforgettable evening celebrating the incredible musical talent of our pupils.
