Sixth Form Artist Recognised for Exceptional Work

Congratulations to our Upper Sixth artist, Maya C, whose work was Highly Commended at this year’s Broadway Arts Festival Competition.

Maya’s work, entitled ‘The Cotswold Lion’, was highly commended in the Local Artist category of the Festival’s annual art competition, which includes entries from artists of all ages from across the UK. This year’s competition saw an incredible 670 entries, with organisers commenting the standard this year was ‘exceptionally high’.

Maya’s outstanding work was showcased in the Festival’s exhibition in Bretforton, which will run until October 5th.

King’s Worcester is proud its Art School, having gained a national reputation for excellence and have enjoyed outstanding results at every level for many years.

This year was no exception, with GCSE Art achieving over 88% of A* and A grades, and at A Level, 83% of students achieving A* – A. The School’s exceptionally talented students have an strong record of gaining entry into some of the most prestigious universities to study art, design, fashion and architecture-based courses.
