Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Talented King’s Musicians Shine Brightly in Exams

Last term saw an impressive display of musical talent from our King’s musicians, as twenty-five pupils achieved success in practical music exams ranging from Grade 1 through to diploma level.

These achievements covered a variety of instruments, including voice, piano, strings, woodwind, and organ.

Among the notable successes, Music Scholar Matteo S passed his Grade 8 violin exam. His fellow Scholars, Benedict R and Tom R, also shone brightly, achieving Grade 7 successes with distinction. All three play an important role in our school music ensembles with regular solo performances in concerts.

Hannah B, a regular performer at Open Mic Nights, achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a diploma in Popular Music Vocals (DipLCM). Her achievement is particularly commendable as it involved a demanding recital with detailed programme notes and a viva voce with the examiners. This diploma recognizes her exceptional talent and her ability to engage with a live audience, as well as her profound understanding of the music she performed.

Congratulations to all our King’s musicians on your achievements and ongoing hard work.
