The King’s Voice Launch

We are delighted to formally introduce you to ‘The King’s Voice’, a King’s Worcester Radio Station which launched on Friday 17th January by OV Louise Gwilliam. Louise was interviewed in a special podcast about her career with the BBC and how she found herself working in broadcast journalism.

Following the launch, pupils will be producing and editing a variety of podcasts about their interests. Politics, the environment, sport, current affairs, and school life will be among the topics to look out for. The podcasts will be produced by pupils every day during long break on a 2-week timetable, and will be available on our Mixcloud account soon after. Podcasts can be found on the school website, visiting The King’s Voice on Mixcloud, and via @Kings_Voice twitter page.

With radio and DJ experience, physics teacher Mr Pearson has set up the station and he hopes that everyone involved with the King’s community can enjoy this new project.
