U13 Netball Team Through to Second Round of the Independent Schools Plate Competition

On Tuesday, the U13 Netball squad travelled to The Queen’s School, Chester to play in the first round of the Independent Schools Plate competition. After a quick warm-up, the girls were ready and raring to go.

Understandably, with it only being their second opportunity in a knock out competition, the girls were a little nervous and therefore the first five minutes of their play was fast and furious, with numerous turnovers. Yet they settled quickly after the first two goals were scored and finally found their rhythm. With all of the squad taking to the court and playing their part, the girls ended with a 16-8 win, which sees them into the second round after Christmas. Well done to Millie D who was awarded Player of the Match.
