U14 Netball Squad Reach Regional Finals

In what has already been a very successful season for the U14 squad, the girls had been preparing for their County tournament, the first of many games that could lead them to a place in the National finals. With a solid performance in the District round, winning all of their games, the squad was looking forward to facing their next challenge. They played three games in their pool scoring 57 goals in 42 minutes and only conceding five. They therefore topped their group and progressed to the semi-final, meeting RGS. Their teamwork and composure saw them take an early lead and then it was a case of keeping the momentum going, eventually winning 7-3.

Although this had already secured them a place in the Regional Finals in January, their job was not done and they continued their impressive netball in the final, beating Bromsgrove 9-5. Head Coach, Miss Ormandy, quoted, “The momentum has been building with this squad and they have been training very well. I am excited to see what they can produce in the future rounds”.
